STRESS

WHAT IS STRESS?

Stress nowadays seems to be something that affects every single person. To some extent this is true because stress is felt due to the ‘fight or flight’ response that we all experience on an almost daily basis. Missing a bus, crossing a road, watching a scary film or even being startled by a sudden noise are all situations that activate this fight or flight response.

It maybe of no surprise to some people then that these stressful situations appear to be on the increase in our society.
When there are persistent or continuous stressful situations in our lives our ability to cope with this pressure starts to stretch and in some stressful situations this may lead to a ‘thinning’ in our coping mechanisms. This is when the tell-tale signs of stress start to show through:

Emotional sensitivity
Increased irritability
Increase in bad habits e.g. nail biting or teeth grinding
Smoking more or drinking more
Disrupted or unusual sleep patterns

The list is almost endless.

So why do some people become more stressed than others?
We all have different coping mechanisms that we have learned throughout our lives. Some people feel the stress of some situations more than others due to certain ‘buttons’ being pressed. These situations trigger the pre-learned coping mechanism which in turn triggers the same feelings of stress, be it anxiety, nerves, physical symptoms such as nausea or in severe cases, depression.
ALL of these responses are due to the confusion/stress caused by the fight or flight response.

So how does it affect me?
As we encounter stress we must deal with the emotions and feelings that it drags up from within us, this is the only way to authentically get rid of the symptoms. In our busy lives however this is not always possible so many people simply carry on with the stress still there or try very hard to ‘just forget about it’. The more we let all of these little weights build up the more of an affect they have on how we lead our lives.
Eventually even the smallest of weights can break us. We can no longer cope with the normal everyday stresses that we can’t avoid.

How can hypnotherapy help?
Being the most common emotional condition on the planet, stress is a condition that we treat more than any other. Here at the Rose Partnership we believe that Pure-Hypnoanalysis is the single most effective treatment for stress available in the world today.
The reason it works so well is because it seeks out and resolves the ‘trigger’ emotions that bring on that feeling of stress. The more of these trigger emotions that are dealt with the less stressful certain situations will feel to us.

Why don’t you contact us today and get that weight lifted off your shoulders!
