SUGGESTION THERAPY

WHAT IS SUGGESTION THERAPY?

Suggestion therapy is good old, normal hypnotherapy. You may also see it being called clinical hypnosis. At the Rose Partnership we practice both pure hypnoanalysis and hypnotherapy so we refer to normal hypnotherapy as suggestion hypnotherapy.

HOW DOES IT WORK?

As the name suggests we use carefully worded suggestions to bring about the removal of symptoms. After the wonderful and relaxing hypnotic state is induced you (your subconscious to be precise) will be given suggestions that will affect your behaviour and your feelings over the following days, weeks and months (also known as a post-hypnotic suggestion).

Different symptoms call for different suggestions and normally no two sessions are the same.

WHAT CAN SUGGESTION THERAPY TREAT?

In a nutshell suggestion therapy can help to alleviate a huge number of symptoms although 9/10 times this form of therapy will not permanently remove symptoms of more severe issues.

If there is little underlying anxiety and a strong desire to rid yourself of whatever the symptoms are then suggestion therapy will be the therapy for you!

Think along the lines of:

  • Exam nerves
  • Driving nerves
  • Fear of flying
  • Mild phobias
  • Excessive sweating
  • Hypno-birthing

WHAT ELSE DO I NEED TO KNOW?

Suggestion therapy is quick and efficient and usually only requires between 1 and 4 sessions depending on the issue at hand. Hypno-birthing comes under the umbrella of suggestion therapy but is a therapy in its own right.
